While presenting the Interim Budget 2019-20 in Parliament today the Union Minister for Finance, Corporate Affairs, Railways & Coal, Shri Piyush Goyal said that the allocation for the North Eastern Areas is being proposed to be increased by 21% to Rs 58,166 crore in 2019-20 Budget Estimates over 2018-19 BE. केन्‍द्रीय वित्‍त, कॉरपोरेट मामले, रेल और कोयला मंत्री श्री पीयूष गोयल ने आज संसद में अंतरिम बजट 2019-20 पेश करते हुए कहा कि वर्ष 2018-19 के बजट अनुमानों में प्रदत्‍त 2,82,733 करोड़ रूपये की तुलना में वर्ष 2019-20 के लिए बजट अनुमानों में 3,05,296 करोड़ रूपये प्रदान किये गये हैं। इन आकड़ों को वर्ष 2018-19 के संशोधित अनुमानों में 2,85,423 करोड़ रूपये तक संशोधित किया गया था। श्री पीयूष गोयल ने कहा कि हमारा रक्षा बजट 2019-20 में प्रथम बार 3,00,000 करोड़ रूपये के आंकड़े को पार कर रहा है। उन्‍होंने कहा कि हमारी सीमाओं को सुरक्षित करने और उच्‍चतम स्‍तर की तैयारियों को बनाये रखने के लिए यदि आवश्‍कता होती है तो अतिरिक्‍त निधियां प्रदान की जायेगी। रक्षा और राष्‍ट्रीय सुरक्षा को मजबूती प्रदान करने के मुद्दे पर अंतरिम बजट 2019-20 में कहा गया है कि हमारे सैनिक दुर्गम परिस्थितियों में हमारी सीमाओं की

Gold fell 65 rupees, to 31,475 rupees per ten grams at Delhi's bullion market today. Traders said appreciating rupee as well as weak demand in the overseas market led to a slide in gold prices. Fall in demand from jewelers as well as retailers kept pressure on the prices. Silver lost 85 rupees, to 37,075 rupees per kilo on weak demand from industrial units and coin makers. Silver coins ended flat, at 72,000 rupees for buying 100 pieces.

India’s economy grows at 7.1 per cent for 2nd part of 2018-19

India's economy grew at 7.1 per cent for the second quarter of 2018-19 according to data released by Central Statistics Office today. These estimates represent a sizable jump from last year’s second quarter growth rate estimates, indicating sustained acceleration in country's economic growth. The Gross Domestic Product, GDP at constant prices had grown at 6.3 per cent in July-September quarter of the last fiscal. The CSO estimates state that GDP at constant prices was 33.98 lakh crore rupees for second quarter this fiscal, which is a marked increase from 31.72 lakh crore rupees for the same period in 2017-18.
